Live race-day tracking · For the runner who brings a crowd
Give your people the exact minute you pass
They give up a whole morning to catch 20 seconds of you. Follow My Run tracks you live — metre by metre — and gives everyone you invite a countdown to the moment you pass their spot. While you run, you see exactly where they're standing. Nobody gets missed. In either direction.

The problem · solved from both sides
You'll run 21 km scanning the crowd for four faces
The official tracker gives your family a dot on a map and a split from ten minutes ago — so they push to the fence too early, or step away for coffee at exactly the wrong moment. And you run your whole race never knowing if you ran straight past them. Follow My Run closes the loop: they get your exact minute, you get their exact metre.
Know where your people are
Nothing pulls you through kilometre 18 like knowing exactly who's waiting at kilometre 19.
- See every supporter pinned along your course
- One invite link — they don't need an account to be seen
- Your position is shared only during the race, only with your people
- Battery-safe background tracking, built for race distance
A countdown, not a dot
They don't need a map — they need to know when to look up.
- They pick their spot before race day, down to the metre
- A live countdown to your pass, updated continuously
- Pace smoothing that survives GPS dropouts and tunnels
- Time-to-move alerts so they can catch you twice

Everything the official tracker isn't
Metre-accurate countdown
We snap your GPS to the verified course line and compute distance along the route — not as the crow flies. The countdown your supporters see is to their exact spot, not the nearest timing mat.
Smart pace prediction
Kalman-smoothed pace with dead reckoning through signal gaps. If your phone drops out under a bridge, their countdowns keep ticking on your last known pace.
Spot planner
Your squad picks spots on the course map the night before, with predicted pass times for your goal finish time and a "be there by" cushion — synced across everyone you invite.
One link, whole squad
You send one invite link. Grandma taps it and sees your countdown in her browser. No account, no app-store detour, no setup call the night before.
Race-distance tracking
Purpose-built background location with motion-aware sampling and buffered uploads. Tested to run a full marathon and still get you to the after-party with charge to spare.
Verified course library
Every supported race uses a verified GPX course, checked against the official route. No organiser integration needed — if your race is in the library, tracking just works.
How it works · Three steps to the barrier
Set up in five minutes, the night before
You create your race
Pick your race from the library, set your goal time and wave, and send the invite link to everyone coming to cheer you.
Your people pin their spots
Each supporter drops a pin where they’ll stand. You see every pin on your course — and they see their predicted pass times — before the gun even fires.
Race day runs itself
You arm tracking in the start pen. The moment you cross the line, every spot’s countdown goes live.

Your supporters pick a spot on the actual course map, enter your goal time and wave start, and get a pass-time window with a “be there by” cushion. Works for every race in our library.

FAQ · Everything people ask
Questions before you buy
Do I have to carry my phone while racing?
Yes — your phone is the tracker. Most runners already carry one for music or safety. The app runs in the background with the screen off, using motion-aware sampling designed for race distance, so it won't drain your battery before the finish line.
How accurate is the countdown my supporters see?
We snap your position to the verified course line and measure distance along the route, so accuracy is typically within a city block — far better than raw GPS dots. Your pace is smoothed over recent kilometres, and the countdown shows a window, not a false single-second promise.
What happens if I lose signal on the course?
Their countdowns keep running on your last known pace (dead reckoning), and positions recorded offline are buffered on your phone and uploaded the moment signal returns. Tunnels, bridges, and dense city blocks are exactly what the prediction engine was built for.
Do my supporters need the app?
The best experience is in the app — lock-screen countdowns, spot planning, move alerts. But anyone with your invite link can follow along in the browser, so grandparents and overseas family are covered with zero setup.
Who can see my location?
Only people you've personally invited, only while your race is live. There's no public feed, no discoverability, and tracking stops automatically at the finish. You can revoke a link at any time.
Does my race organiser need to be involved?
No. Follow My Run works entirely from your own phone and our verified course library, so it works at any supported race regardless of what tracking the organiser does or doesn’t offer.
Who pays — me or my supporters?
You do, once per race. Your purchase unlocks that race for you and every spectator you invite — with no limit on how many. Your supporters never pay anything. If two runners share a cheer squad, each runner unlocks the race for their own tracking; the squad follows both for free.
What does "All You Can Eat" actually include?
Every race currently in the library and every race we add in the future, for life, for one $50 purchase. It's a one-time payment, not a subscription — there's nothing to cancel because nothing renews.
Is there an Android version?
We're iOS-first, launching at the Copenhagen Half 2026 — so you'll need an iPhone to run with. Your supporters on Android can already follow via the browser link. A full Android app is on the roadmap.
What if my race isn't listed?
Email us the race name. Adding a race means verifying its official course, which typically takes days. Popular requests move to the top of the queue.
